The groaning of all creation.
The faithfulness of Father.
All of creation groans in suffering under this burden of sin.
It cries out to be free of this pain, this binding, this limiting.
Groaning with a desire to be filled with His glory and greatness.
Groaning in the sacrifice, the giving up of self.
Groaning in the pain of the sin and the death that is required.
He is Faithful. He is True.
What can we give to Him, or give up,
That He will not return to us a hundred fold?
Will we not exchange these filthy robes?
He is Holy. He is Good.
He does not desire that we should suffer,
Yet He does not desire that we remain as we are.
Change from this state is painful, requiring discipline.
This change is good.
His grace is sufficient.
His grace is good.
His faithfulness is unending.
The coming of His Kingdom will cause a groaning that has yet to be heard in all its depth, and power, and anguish.
We do not bear this burden alone.
He came to carry it with us.
Yoked with Him, all things are possible.
There is a groaning and a pain when we see what we are now in the light of His holiness.
His faithfulness is to see us as He has made us – holy and righteous.
And to continue to mold us into the image of His Son.
When I look upon Him, even just a glimpse, I see again my need for His saving grace.
